The Ask

SussMyBike approached AFGO to help progress their product from prototype into volume production.

AFGO reviewed the product through their Design For Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) process and worked with SMB to address the points raised.

The Actions

After addressing the DFMA findings AFGO ran a local pilot build to allow SMB to fulfil the product pledged during their crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

Early customer feedback was used to fine tune the product ensuring it was commercially viable and fit for volume production ramp-up.

The Results

AFGO transferred the full production off-shore to one of its preferred contract manufacturers, managing all aspects of the build from tooling, product assembly, test and packaging as well the manufacturing quality.

AFGO supported the logistics resulting in delivery of product in time for the Christmas market.
